Christmas Toy Program

Each Christmas season, The Salvation Army provides toys to thousands of children in need. You can help us give hope today through our Christmas Toy program in one of several ways:

Toy Angels Donate a new unwrapped toy at one of the many Toy Angel donation locations.
Angel Tree Host your own toy donation tree for friends, family, or co-workers.
Targeted Toy Drive Coordinate a toy drive for a specific age group or type of toy.
Volunteer Come on your own or bring a group to be an elf at our toy warehouse.

To sign-up for a toy drive, volunteer, or get more information contact us:
Toy Angels
In partnership with Calgary Police Service, Rogers Media, and CIR Realty, we are once again running the annual Toy Angel donation drive.

To participate, simply buy a toy for a child aged 0-15 and drop it off at any Toy Angel donation spot, located throughout the city. Locations include Ikea, Westbrook Mall, Marlborough Mall, and all CPS district offices.
Angel Tree
Together, with a group of your friends, family of co-workers and host an "Angel Tree". An Angel Tree is a tree decorated with "Angel Tags", each tag indicating an age-gender combination. Members of the group select a tag and buy a gift for that age-gender.

To participate, contact us to register your group and ask for your tags. You can then either pick up your tags or we'll arrange to get them to you. After you have collected the toys, either drop the toys off at our warehouse or contact us to arrange pickup. (Angel Tags come in packs of 48.)
Targeted Toy Drive
As the name suggests, a targeted toy drive focuses on collecting toys for a target age group or type of toy. Groups select a toy target, and then collect toys matching that target.

To participate, select the toy target you are interested in and get your friends, family, or co-workers together to buy those types of toys. After you have collected the toys, either drop the toys off at our warehouse or contact us to arrange pickup.
Each year, we rely on hundreds of "elves" to help us pack toys for the thousands of families who need our help at Christmas. Elves are needed to shop for toys in our "toy store", count and sort toy donations as they come in, help assemble family treat packs, and hand out packed toys. Elves are needed Monday-Saturday, 9:00am-8:00pm starting November 2.

To be an elf, contact us with a few dates and times that you are available; this will give us a better opportunity to find a time that works for all parties involved. We will do our best to accomodate you (and your group, if applicable) but please note we cannot guarantee we will be able to fit you into our schedule. Volunteers are scheduled on a first-come-first-serve basis and due to high volunteer volumes, we may not have vacancies for your available times.
