Serving our Unhoused Neighbours

Our mobile Outreach Teams serve individuals across the city who are experiencing homelessness and are often on the street or in encampments. We head out daily with things like coffee, lunches, clothing and freezies (for those very hot days!) and a desire to build relationships.

Getting to know our unhoused neighbours allows us to support their needs better. Helping individuals connect to resources gives them dignity to make decisions about their personal journey.

What do you need?   What are your goals?   How can we help?

We aim to walk alongside as individuals strive to move forward.

Mobile Warming Stations

Our Mobile Warming Stations are a temporary pop up, providing a safe, warm and compassionate space for all. We visit and activate in two locations per day; serving hot beverages and food, and other basic needs. Staff provide housing check ins and referrals to other supports. Our team are also available to support with transportation to shelter as needed.

Hours of operation are 12pm to 6pm every day.

A daily schedule with locations can be found here:

Forest Lawn Outreach

This program operates as the seasonal counterpart to our Mobile Warming Stations. Teams travel the greater Forest Lawn area to engage with unhoused and precariously housed individuals on the street or in encampments. We offer essentials and encouragement, build relationships and are ready with information and access to resources as requested.

Central Outreach

Our newest Outreach Program focuses on serving our unhoused neighbours in downtown Calgary. On the street seven days a week, teams of two Outreach Workers connect and support those in need around the Central Library, Centre of Hope and east to Fort Calgary. As with each of our Outreach Programs, essentials are offered as needed and staff work to build relationships – offering encouragement with information and connection to resources as requested.

Unhoused neighbours are offered:

Basic needs:

  • Food
  • Clothing
  • Hygiene items

Service Navigation:

  • Connection to supports
  • Phone calls to book appointments
  • Rides to services
